Guide

How you become a prosumer, step by step.

The paperwork frightens people more than the installation does. Below is the full route, as set out in the procedure of the distribution operator for the Moldova region — without the jargon.

The route

Six steps, in the order they happen.

In Suceava, Botoșani and Iași the distribution operator is Delgaz Grid, so the procedure is the same across the whole area we cover.

01

The connection request and the technical approval

You file the connection request with the distribution operator together with the required documentation. The answer is the technical connection approval — the document stating the conditions under which you may connect.

02

The connection contract

Once the approval is issued, you sign the connection contract with the operator. This sets out the works required and who carries them out.

03

Execution and acceptance

The installation is built, inspected and commissioned. The installation file is drawn up by the contractor who carried out the work.

04

The connection certificate

The operator issues the connection certificate for the consumption and production point. For prosumers, Delgaz Grid's procedure provides for a maximum of 3 working days.

05

Prosumer status certification

A step separate from the connection itself, with different documents for individuals and for companies. Details below.

06

The supply contract

Only once you hold the connection certificate is the contract with your energy supplier signed or updated.

Documents

What is required to certify prosumer status.

The requirements differ depending on whether you are an individual or a company.

Individuals

A signed declaration stating whether you are accessing a funding programme for the installation
Identification documents for the holder of the consumption point

Companies

A certificate issued by the Trade Register showing the current status of the company
Showing that electricity production is not the company’s main activity

For the connection itself you will generally also need identity or company identification documents, proof of ownership of the premises (or a lease plus the owner's consent), the urban planning certificate and a scaled site plan, together with the technical data of the consumption and production point.

The mistake that costs weeks

An unpaid analysis fee stalls your file.

Few people know this before it happens to them: the connection request is treated as incomplete until the analysis fee is paid, per the invoice issued. Until then the file does not move — and many people wait for an answer that cannot arrive.

It is exactly the kind of detail we keep track of, so you don't lose time for nothing.
